Sell to Bizak & Co. · Estate, signed & antique jewelry · Nationwide by mail
Old rings, inherited pieces, signed and gem-set jewelry, diamonds and watches — each one valued piece by piece by a trained gemologist, never blindly melted. Mail it in with free insured shipping and get a written offer, brand premium and all, broken out and explained. Same-day payment, or your pieces back free. No pawn-counter games. Selling plain gold too? We pay that at melt — estimate it below.
The math, in the open
Most buyers hand you one number and hope you don't ask. We show the two parts every honest offer is made of: what the metal is worth, and what the name adds. Pick an example.
Illustrative example. Final offer is confirmed in person against live spot price and the actual piece. Plain gold is paid at melt — never below it. Branded and gem-set pieces are priced on the resale market, which is usually well above metal value.

Enter the weight and karat and see the live melt value — the floor we price plain gold at. Most competitors make you mail it in blind. Plain gold is never paid below melt. Got a signed, antique or gem-set piece? Those are worth well above melt — skip the calculator and send us photos; we value them individually.
| Karat | Pure gold | Per gram |
|---|
Gold spot ≈ $4,000/oz · Indicative reference rate , not a live feed — gold moves daily. Your offer is confirmed against the live spot price the moment your piece arrives, so the final number can land above or below these figures. Branded, gem-set and estate pieces are worth well above melt — priced on the resale market, not weighed. Silver is quoted against live silver spot in person.
Quoted a price “per pennyweight” somewhere else? One pennyweight is 1.5552 grams, so it is not the same number as a price per gram. Grams, pennyweight and troy ounces, converted →
What the rest of the market pays
Mail-in gold buyers typically advertise “up to 90%” of melt for jewelry — “up to” being the operative words, since refining costs come out of your side. Pawn counters pay less again, often 40–70%. We price plain gold at melt and put the number in writing before you decide. Signed and gem-set pieces aren't weighed at all — they're priced on the resale market, which is usually well above melt.
Why our offer is higher
National buyers carry twenty offices, sales floors and layers of staff — paid for out of your offer. We run lean and direct, so more of the real value reaches you.
Metal value and brand premium, separated and explained on paper. Nothing rolled into one mystery figure. If a number doesn't add up, you'll see it before you decide.
HRD Antwerp and ERIJ credentialed. We read the cut, the maker and the market — which is exactly what separates a fair offer from a pawn-shop lowball.
The process
Tell us what you have. We email a prepaid, fully-insured FedEx label and simple packing instructions — on our account, so you pay nothing.
Pack it, then drop it at any FedEx location. Every shipment is fully insured through IFS (In4Sure) and tracked door to door, with signature required at every step.
A trained gemologist examines each piece and emails a written offer with metal value and brand premium laid out separately.
Accept any or all of it and you're paid the same day by bank transfer. Decline, and everything ships back to you — free and insured.
It arrives by email — there's no box to wait for. Print the label, pack your pieces, and drop them at any FedEx location.
Our guarantees
A trained gemologist values every piece at no cost, whether you sell or not. No fees, ever, and no obligation to accept.
Don't like the offer? Everything ships back to you — free and fully insured. You risk nothing by finding out what it's worth.
Prepaid FedEx on our account, both directions, insured to the full value of your pieces with signature required at every step.
Accept the offer and you're paid that same day by bank transfer. No consignment, no waiting to see what you'll really get.
Your piece is safe
Your prepaid FedEx label carries dedicated jewelry cover through IFS (In4Sure) — a specialist jewelry-shipping insurer, not a carrier's flat default that stops at a token amount. Your pieces are insured for their full value on the way to us and on the way back, tracked door to door, with a signature required at every handoff.
A trained gemologist examines each piece and emails you a written offer. Until you accept it in writing, nothing is melted, altered, dismantled, or sold. Say no, and the exact pieces you sent come back to you — free and fully insured.
Because every shipment is insured to full value through IFS in both directions, a loss or damage in transit is covered for the full value your pieces are insured for — not a shipping minimum. Tracking and the required signature mean your jewelry is never left on a doorstep.
What we buy
Inherited collections, antique and designer pieces, every era. Valued piece by piece — the maker is part of the math, never blindly melted. This is what we most want to buy.
Loose or set, certified or not. Read on the 4Cs and current demand by a trained gemologist.
Priced on the resale market, not melted. Boxes and papers welcome but never required.
Any karat, any condition — chains, rings, scrap, coins, dental. Weighed and priced at melt the day we receive it.
Sterling flatware, hollowware, jewelry and scrap. Weighed and priced against the day's live silver spot.
Gold and silver coins, bars and rounds — bullion at melt, numismatic pieces read for collector premium.
Who you're selling to
Bizak & Co. has bought and sold fine jewelry and watches since 1996. The same trained eye that authenticates a stone for a buyer is the one that values what you mail in. That's the difference between an offer you can trust and a guess — even from across the country.
Before you ship
Yes — fully. You ship on a prepaid FedEx label backed by dedicated jewelry insurance that covers the full value door to door, both ways, with signature required at every handoff. Your pieces are protected from the moment they leave your hands.
You owe nothing. We ship everything back to you free and fully insured. The valuation is free whether you sell or not — there's no fee for our time.
It gets examined and valued by a gemologist — that's all. Nothing is melted, altered, dismantled or sold until you accept the offer in writing. If you decline, the exact pieces you sent come back to you, free and insured. This matters most with signed and estate jewelry: melting a signed piece destroys value that can never be recovered, so we never make that call for you.
You're covered, and it costs you nothing. Every shipment travels on our prepaid FedEx label backed by dedicated jewelry insurance (IFS / In4Sure) that covers the full value of your pieces — door to door, both directions, tracked, with signature required at every handoff. That's the same cover on the way back if you decline the offer. Tell us what you're sending when you request your kit, so the cover matches what's actually in the box.
Two parts, shown separately: the metal value at the day's live spot price, and a brand or gemstone premium based on maker, condition and current resale demand. You see both in writing before you decide anything.
The same day you accept the offer, by bank transfer. No consignment, no waiting to find out what you'll get.
Not at all. They can increase the offer on certain watches and signed pieces, so include them if you have them — but we buy without them every day.
